After releasing his single “Weight in Gold” in late 2015, Gallant released “Bourbon” earlier this month along with announcing the release of his sophomore album titled Ology, set to release on April 6. We advise you to check this one out as we predict Gallant to make waves in the R&B game due to his commanding vocals and outstanding talent.

Cannons – Call You Out
Alternative
(SoundcloudInstagram | Twitter | Facebook)
Cannons, the LA based band, has always impressed us with their distinct sound. They refer to their sound as “future boogie” and you’ll just have to have a listen below to assess that title’s accuracy. Currently working on their second EP, which is set to release in the near future via Manimal Group, Cannons released “Call You Out” and mesmerized their listeners with this catchy track possessing elements of R&B and Pop music to form an elegant, sophisticated vibe. In case you missed it, check out the spotlight we did on Cannons by visiting HERE.

NAO – Fool to Love
Electronica, R&B/Soul
(SoundcloudInstagram | Twitter | Facebook)

The British electro-R&B artist brilliantly combines soul and rock influences into her music. So far this year NAO has released her February 15 – EP which is a quality listen as well as this track “Fool to Love”. Following up her admirable single “Bad Blood”, NAO delivers equally with this jam that depicts her foolishness to fall for a former lover. Have a listen below and keep an eye out for her debut album, set to drop later this year via her own label Little Tokyo Recordings and RCA Records.

BJ the Chicago Kid – Heart Crush
R&B/Soul
(WebsiteSoundcloudInstagram | Twitter | Facebook)

One of our favourite songs in BJ the Chicago Kid’s new album In My Mind describes the story of a relationship that cannot be saved. Check out BJ’s striking album to hear more songs pertaining to the subject of love.

JMSN – Cruel Intentions
Alternative
(WebsiteSoundcloudInstagram | Twitter | Facebook)

The Michigan native talented singer-songwriter and producer released “Cruel Intentions” as the first single off his next album titled It Is, which is set to drop on May 6. A jazzy and soulful sound make this a funky track worth checking out. If you’re a fan, check out some of JMSN”s other music HERE.

Josef Salvat – Night Swim
Pop
(WebsiteSoundcloudInstagram | Twitter | Facebook)

Titled after his debut album Night Swim, the Australian singer-songwriter delivers with a discrete song you can vibe to while hanging out. The impressive LP consists of subtlety as well as some catchy pop infused tunes. Fun fact: Josef Salvat said the album is a collection of songs he’s written over the past 13 years.

Wild Nothing – Whenever I
Alternative
(WebsiteSoundcloudInstagram | Twitter | Facebook)

This soulful track stands out on Wild Nothing’s third full-length album Life of Pause. Jack Tatum, founder of Wild Nothing, admitted to listening to a lot of Philly sweet soul music while recording Life of Pause, which is presumably evident on this record. Expand your taste and a have a listen.
