Buddy – Shine
Hip Hop/Rap
(Soundcloud | YouTubeInstagram | Twitter)

Signed to Pharrell’s label makes it easier to gain exposure in the over-saturated music industry, however, Buddy is fully deserving of that opportunity. Hailing from Compton, Buddy was predisposed to the uncertainties of the area as he sings about on this track. He didn’t let it bring him down. He kept on shining.

Joey Bada$$ – Devastated
R&B/Soul
(WebsiteSoundcloud | Instagram | Twitter | Facebook)

This track is Joey Bada$$’ most popular single for good reason. It blends rapping, singing, and the melodic production to perfection. What’s created is a song you can jam to while listening to a positive message. Joey’s second album ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ released earlier this month. 90’s Hip-Hop fans would dig the music Joey Bada$$ creates.

Glass Animals – Pork Soda
Indie Rock/Psychedelic Pop
(WebsiteSoundcloud | YouTubeInstagram | Twitter | Facebook)

One of our favorite bands, Glass Animals reign from Oxford, England. Their debut album ZABA, was an instant classic for us. They sure lived up to expectations with their sophomore album How To Be A Human Being. “Pork Soda” is the fourth track off of HTBAHB. The title came from a lady who had giant stick figure tattoo who takes actual pork meat and cooks it in coca cola like a stew. She claims it’s the best meal. Weird, but how cool are the Glass Animals?!
