SERENE

CHRISTINA LANGE by CHRIS DWYER

MODEL : CHRISTINA LANGE | PHOTOGRAPHER : CHRIS DWYER | HAIR & MAKE UP : SHAYNA COUMONT (VOILA LOUNGE) |
On the day Chris Dwyer captured the FELICITY set with the gorgeous Shaynee Berg for us, he also captured Christina Lange’s stunning looks. We’d like to thank Chris for squeezing in two shoots with Just Breeze Magazine considering his busy schedule before his venture to Australia.

Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Christina Lange’s presence isn’t difficult to appreciate as she was very professional and also a  natural despite entering the modeling world later than the average model due to prioritizing and putting herself through school first. She still made a name for herself and worked with various talented photographers in Vancouver. Being internationally published is something she takes pride in, with her work published in Feroce, a United Kingdom based magazine. Currently a freelance model, Christina strives to eventually model internationally and have the opportunity to work with artists worldwide. Follow her on social media to stay updated with her new photoshoots.

Chris Dwyer has allowed us to expect a high standard from him when it comes to photography because of his apparent innate skill for the craft. The same goes for Shayna Coumont regarding makeup. With that said, Just Breeze Magazine presents SERENE: Christina Lange by Chris Dwyer.

JB What is your favourite aspect about modeling?

CL My favourite thing about modeling is getting to meet so many great people in the industry. Some of my best friends started out as being my makeup artist or photographer!

JB What do your pre-shoot rituals consist of?

CL My pre-shoot ritual consists of 8 hours of sleep and a deep salt scrub the night before.

JB If you weren’t modeling, what would be your ideal career and why?

CL I have my ideal career already! Aside from modeling, I also work as a travel agent full time which has always been my dream job since I love to travel the world and hey, who doesn’t like vacation discounts?

JB What advice would you give to a guy trying to approach a girl at her place of work?

CL My advice is so to be polite and have a great sense of humour. If you can make me laugh, you’re one step closer to taking me to dinner!

JB What is your biggest fear?

CL My biggest fear is not being good enough. I always strive to do my best whether it be with work or modeling and I’m always worried that I could’ve done something different to make it that much more amazing! That and spiders.. I will smash everything in my path if I see one of those suckers.

JB What is the worst experience you’ve had in a relationship?

CL My worst experience hands down was being with this extremely cheap guy. It’s one thing to split everything 50/50 in a relationship, but he would make us use two separate debit cards to buy coffee! Needless to say he was cut pretty quickly!

JB What is the first thing about a guy that draws your interest?

CL The first thing that draws me to a guy is easily his eyes or his confidence.

JB List 5 things off of your Bucket List that you have yet to conquer.

CL That’s easy and all travel related of course ha-ha!
1. Ride a camel through Egypt.
2. Snorkel in Bora Bora.
3. Visit the Eiffel tower in Paris and fit in an awesome photoshoot of course.
4. Go to a full moon party in Thailand.
5. Go to India during the festival of colours!

JB What is one thing you would do to make the world a better place?

CL Find care and homes for every animal in need!

JB What would you say is your biggest regret in life?

CL My biggest regret? I honestly don’t have one. I believe that everything I’ve done in life happened for a reason and has helped shaped me into the person I am today.

JB What advice would you give to an aspiring model?

CL The best advice I can give to anyone would be to go into it giving it your absolute best and always thriving to improve yourself. Working with the right people to build up your image and portfolio also helps.

JB With the rapid advancements in technology and people constantly glued to their smart phones, how do you see the impact of these devices continuing to affect the world through the next 5 years?

CL I’m 100% guilty of letting technology impact my life, but I’m trying to make an effort while with family and friends to disconnect and enjoy the company that is right in front of me. That being said, if it wasn’t for spending time on Instagram and Facebook, I wouldn’t have met a lot of the amazing photographers that I know now and had the chance to work with a variety of talents! I think that in the next 5 years these social networks will continue to help artists grow, but at the same time damage relationships with the people that matter most.

JB In your opinion, what do you feel is the biggest crisis or injustice in the world today?

CL Poverty in my opinion is a very real predicament in our world today. It’s important to notice that poverty doesn’t just include the homeless. It encompasses a wide range of people from families living on food stamps, single mothers working long hours to put food on the table for their children, and those burdened with hardships because of what they’re lacking in life.

JB Playing the Love Dr. for a minute, what advice would you give to someone in a relationship trying to get their partner to understand the importance of life experiences and traveling versus living in a material world?

CL The best way is to show them! Take them on a trip to somewhere they’d never imagine going. Open their mind to new experiences and show them why life experiences and traveling will always win over materialistic items.

JB Open Mic – If there is any message you would like to send to the audience, now is your time!

CL Make sure to go through life always enjoying what you do and turn away from what brings you down. It took me a while to gain full control and steer myself away from things that made me unhappy, but since doing so I’ve never been in a better state of mind.
